General Policies

We also reserve the right to restrict or terminate access if, in our sole discretion, we determine that a payment has fraudulent or materially incorrect information associated with it.

The charge on your credit card will be from "DVV ENTERTAINMENT MINDCONTROLTH CA". (We apologize for the extra information on the description; it's a requirement of our credit card processor.)

How can I pay?

We can accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover-branded credit or debit cards. Foreign (that is, non-US) cards are fine, although Maestro and Electron cards generally do not work. Prepaid cards sometimes work, and sometimes don't, and we're still not quite sure why some do and some don't. Our apologies.

Please fill out the credit card processing information accurately. The only thing we do with it is send it to our processor, but the chance of your transaction being declined goes way up if you put down "Moose N Squirrel" or something for your name. Unless, of course, it really is "Moose N Squirrel," in which case, put that.

We can also accept checks (drawn in US dollars on a US bank); click the appropriate link on the order form and you'll get full instructions.

We can't take PayPal, and we can't take American Express. Sorry.

How fast do I get access?

All memberships are activated immediately upon successful payment. If you have paid, but you cannot access the site, please contact us right away and we'll sort it out.

How often is the site updated?

We update at least once a week.

When does the site update?

The new comics are released at midnight, US Pacific time. (That's UTC-8, UTC-7 during Daylight Savings Time in California, if you're a time geek.) Our main update day is usually Wednesday, although we sometimes update on other days depending on our production schedule.

Will I have access to back issues?

Members have access to all of the back issues, with the exception of bonuses (see below) and specials (also see below).

Can I download issues?

Members who have a three month subscription (or three one-month subscriptions) can download issues. This download privilege starts as soon as your three-month membership (or the third month of three consecutive monthly memberships) starts.

Downloads are intended for customers to download and save issues as they arrive, not to do a site rip. We may restrict how many downloads a customer can do in a particular time window.

Refunds

All sales are final, and there are no refunds of any kind. To cancel your membership, see below.

Does my subscription automatically renew?

Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it. Just log into your account to cancel. We will process the renewal 24-48 hours before the end of your current membership period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Just log into your your account to cancel. While we do not offer refunds for unused portions of time, your subscription will remain valid until the end of the period.

What are these "Bonuses" I hear about?

Once in a while, we release a special comic (or other interesting thing) that is only available to members who are subscribers during that month.

I (insert great excuse here) and missed a bonus… can I still get it?

If you were a subscriber during the month the bonus was available, the bonus stays in your account forever… as long as you have a current subscription.

In fairness to the members who subscribed during that month, we can't make previous bonuses available for free to members who weren't subscribed during the bonus month. After 18-24 months, you can find bonus issues for sale as back issues or as compilations in Specials.

What are "Special Issues"?

Once in a while, we release a special issue that is not part of the normal subscriptions. There's a separate charge for these issues, and you don't have to be a current subscriber to get them. You can find them here.

What's this "MCC Discount"?

Mind Control Comics subscribers automatically get 20% off their purchases at Mind Control Theatre. You don't have to do anything special; the system will know that you are a current subscriber and will apply the discount. This applies to both downloads and DVDs, as well as package deals.

I have an idea for a comic!

Send it over! We can't promise anything: That we'll use it, that we won't use it, that it will be used in a form you like, or that you'll ever hear from us again. But we're always happy to hear your ideas!
